Willie Feuer
WILLIE FEUER is renowned for the simplicity and musicality of his dancing and his ability to convey the basic structure and materials of the Argentine Tango in a clear, fun, and understandable manner. He has been a member of the Argentine Tango teaching staff at Dance Manhattan in New York City for over 10 years.
With his wife and partner, SUSAN MATHEKE, he has been a featured performer at the Grand Opening of Dance Manhattans Tango Salon, at the Tango Festival in Boston, at First Night/NYC, and at the International Festival of Arts and Ideas in New Haven. Beginning their tango studies with Daniel Trenner and Rebecca Shulman, Willie and Susan have studied extensively with Esther and Mingo Pugliese, Juan Bruno, Cacho Dante, Susana Miller, and Brigitte Winkler. They have taught workshops and presented performances for the Brattleboro Area Argentine Tango Society, the Yale Center for British Art, Dance Manhattan, the Continental Club, the Gala Party at the Alger Mansion for the release of the New York Tango Trios CD, "Cabarute", the Metropolitan Opera Club in New York City, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, the Northampton Center for the Arts, Sarah Lawrence College, Vassar College, and at the University of Michigan.
