International Salsa/Mambo Dancer/Instructor Edgard Del Rosario has been traveling the world teaching and performing at International Salsa Congresses and specially organized events alongside the world's top dancers. He has also danced with some of the Greats of Salsa- Tito Puente's Band, Celia Cruz, Tony Vega, and Domingo Quinonez at NYC's own Madison Square Garden. Edgard is an 11 year Salsa/Mambo veteran and is known for his VERSATILITY, SPEED AND TECHNIQUE, MOVEMENT, AND FLAVOR.
Edgard is a former Eddie Torres Dancer and has studied with All the Top NY/NJ Salsa On 2 Dancers including: Nelson Flores (Descarga Latina), Thomas Guerrero (Santo Rico Dance co.), Ismael Otero (Caribbean Soul), Amaryllis Cintron (Santo Rico), Frankie Martinez (Abakua), Seaon Bristol (Seaon Stylist Dance co.), and Franklin Diaz.
He was inspired by many of NYC's most amazing night club dancers including of the pioneers Vittico "La Magia." Edgard's versatility and technique can be attributed to his dancing in NY's Salsa dance scene with dancers of all levels and styles. He is determined to be able to lead anyone no matter the style or level.
Edgard teaches with the "natural" timing of the Conga Drum which he feels allows people to Feel & Learn the Flavor of Salsa (on 2) faster. He also uses Pilates & Yoga influences to make partnerwork feel effortless and to allow for more personal expression. Edgard now teaches in his hometown Staten Island and is concentrating on development of the Staten Island Salsa scene and his music career in parallel. He has been the front page feature of Staten Island's leading newspaper, the Advance.
